YOUR VISIT

House Opening Times

You are welcome to have a pre-show picnic before the performance. For evening performances beginning at 7.30pm, The Courtyard Bar and auditorium will be open from 6.00pm. For matinees when performances start at 2.30pm they will be open from 1.00pm.

A bell will ring ten minutes before the performance is due to begin which will allow you time to clear away and for our Front of House staff to accommodate the rest of the audience. Picnic tables will need to be dismantled to make room for other theatre-goers.

Getting here

We are based in the 'Outdoor Works' area of Bedales School, which is situated in the village of Steep, just outside the market town of Petersfield. Bedales is accessed easily via the A3 and is roughly 50 miles from London and 20 miles from Portsmouth.

Bedales School is a twenty minute walk from Petersfield Station. There is a taxi rank at the railway station.

Parking

On arrival you will be directed to the free parking in the main Bedales' car park (500 metres from the venue) by a PSF usher. The space on the left in front of the Art and Design Building is reserved and we would ask you politely not to park here.

Would Blue Badge holders please contact the organisers in advance on enquiriespsf@outlook.com to arrange priority parking.

There is a drop off point just after you enter the site to save you from carrying picnics and chairs from the car park. There are also a number of wheelbarrows available to help transport your picnic.

What happens if it rains?

The weather is, as we all know, very changeable; do make sure that you have suitable clothing so that the evening chill does not hamper your enjoyment of the show.

If the weather is very bad, the shows will go on unless there is thought to be a safety concern. In the unlikely event of a cancellation you will be offered tickets for an alternative evening, subject to availability, or for next year’s Festival.
